Good Morning Everyone,
We survived 12 weeks of online learning, thank-you so much for your patience and support. For this last week we will continue to work on the assignment I posted in the Google Classroom last week and we have one new assignment to celebrate Celebrating Indigenous Peoples in Canada (National Indigenous Day June 21). We will be sharing work, sharing memories and I will give students an opportunity to say goodbye to their classmates. The projects and links on our Google Classroom will be available if students want to look at the learning projects this summer but it will be read only. As an end of the year process, I will return all individual projects to students whether students work on them or not. I will be doing that on Friday or next Monday. Students will also have access to IXL over the summer months and they can also use their Read Theory account as well. Report cards will be sent digitally on Friday or if you want to pick up a paper copy of the report card from the office, you can let me know. Please watch your email for more instructions about the process from the office. For some reason saying goodbye and thank-you to everyone this year feels different, but next year will be the first time in 15 years I will not be teaching Grade 5 anymore. I will be seeing all my kids again in two years, as I will be the new Grade 7 Math/Science teacher at WillowPark. This group of kids has been my favorite class in a really long time and I feel honored that I get to teach them again in Grade 7. I really hope everyone has a fantastic, safe and healthy summer. Please get outside lots and try to challenge yourself to learn something new and remember the world always looks more pleasant and fun when you are on a bicycle…. It has been a pleasure to be your Grade 5 Teacher and look forward to teaching you all again in Grade 7 Jack Hennigan Good Morning,
