'Hello Everyone,
Just a quick note to let everyone know that students are welcome to come to school in their costumes as long as their faces are not covered and accessories that may be considered weapons are left at home. There is also a school organized Haunted house that students have created here at Willowpark. Our class are invited to go through the Haunted house but students have a choice to go or not. Students will still be asked to participate in Gym class so please ensure students can move in their costume or change into their regular gym strip. I've also attached some pictures from class feedback activity and a Math group problem solving problem. Just thought I would share a few projects we are working on. Please ask your child to explain what they are leaning in the following projects:
-Breadwinner novel- Each chapter we are doing a written response where we Relate our lives to some experience or event that is happening in the Novel. We also are recording our emotions and drawing important events in a visual book report. -13 Days Across Canada- In partners students are researching each Province and territory. Ask them how they are working in their partnership and what interesting facts they have discovered -Wetland box of Knowledge- Mrs. Cranstone [email protected] is our class Science teacher and students have been developing their understanding of their first Science unit on the Wetlands through the arts. Ask your child about their wetland plays and their artwork they are working on in their box of knowledge. -Phys. Ed- Volleyball skills and physical fitness. Ask your child to show you ready position in volleyball and how they set and serve a volleyball. -Health- Emotions and understanding them. Ask your child about their emotion ink paintings. -Math- Place value- Ask your child to explain a 6 digit number in as many ways as they can. Remember we have our quiz on Wednesday Oct 17th. We have been working hard with the place value curriculum and are at a point to assess understanding.
