Challenging Students to think differently when they make mistakes.
Our first art project of the year was to make something from a mistake. We read and discussed the book "Beautiful Oops" and talked about how mistakes are encouraged and expected in our classroom. Mistakes helped us "workout" our brain muscles, Students received a paper and I placed a random mark on the page and they had to make something from it. Each student was challenged to colour using pencil crayons using different techniques that would strengthen their artwork. I worked with each student to develop their ability to use their pencil crayons in a creative and unique way. Once the artwork was finished we wrote about how we though about mistakes in the past and some goals for the future. Enjoy! Mr.H . Comments are closed.
